The collapse of Joe Hart’s career at Manchester City has all come about very quickly.
Pep Guardiola’s signing of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona came as a surprise to many City fans, who were also perplexed to see Hart on the bench for the opening games of the season, with normally second-choice ‘keeper Willy Caballero in goal.
The England goalkeeper has been a dedicated servant at the club for ten years, but that has all come to an end with a loan switch to Torino.
And as he is expected to leave permanently next summer, City are set to recognise all he has done for them by making a surprising gesture.
In order to allow him his move, they will allow him to leave for a cut-price fee, while also giving him £9million as a payoff, reports the Sun.
The stopper still has over £17million remaining on his contract, so the club are willing to offer half of that as a goodbye.
Hart has won two Premier League titles during his time at the Etihad.
