Tottenham considering bid for exciting young Barcelona striker

-

Tottenham are considering a late move for Barcelona’s Munir El Haddadi, according to reports in Spain.

AS have suggested that while Munir has plenty of offers to stay in La Liga, including from Valencia, Real Sociedad, and Celta Vigo, a move to England is still on the cards.

The one stumbling block which is holding up the deal is that Barca are insistent that the striker should have a buy-back clause in any deal, something which Spurs are reluctant to allow.

Everton and Stoke are also monitoring the situation, although neither of them would be able to offer the player Champions League football.

Spurs will be hoping he doesn’t suffer the same fate as Giovanni dos Santos, who arrived from the Nou Camp as a youngster but failed to make an impact at White Hart Lane.

As for Munir, the 20-year-old could offer additional support to Harry Kane and Vincent Janssen, who complimented each other well in the win over Crystal Palace but couldn’t find a way through, leaving it to Victor Wanyama to score the only goal of the game.

Munir is undoubtedly a talented young player and it’s no reflection on him that he hasn’t been able to make it into a Barca attack consisting of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suarez.
