Tottenham bracing themselves for Lloris bid

Lloris could well be holding out for a better deal

Real Madrid are considering a £35million bid for Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

The Mirror are reporting that Los Blancos have turned their attention to the France captain, who has been impressing once again at Euro 2016, after giving up on their pursuit of Manchester United’s David de Gea.

For Tottenham, losing Lloris would be nothing short of disastrous.

Yet, he has turned down the chance to move before, and that was when the Lilywhites were only in the Europa League.

While he may be tempted by Madrid’s manager, the legendary Zinedine Zidane, Spurs are still hoping he will sign a new contract extension, with his current deal expiring in three years’ time.

Now that Mauricio Pochettino has committed his future to the club, it is more likely that his players will follow suit, with Lloris set to be offered an improved contract.

As for Madrid, if they are unable to secure Lloris, they may well simply persevere with current stopper Keylor Navas, who helped them to the Champions League last season.
