Tottenham are hoping to keep hold of their star men this summer, but it looks as though they might have to try a little bit harder when it comes to Hugo Lloris.
The French goalkeeper has been at the club since 2012 and has another three years left to run on his current deal, but The Mirror report that he has snubbed Spurs’ attempts to extend the contract.
However, there’s no need to panic just yet, as it doesn’t mean he’s necessarily headed for the exit.
Lloris is away with his national side for Euro 2016, which means he has little time to negotiate with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, hence, why he might want some more time.
Levy runs a notoriously tight ship, too, so it could be the case that he simply hasn’t offered the stopper a good enough deal, particularly as he’s established himself as one of the best ‘keepers in the Premier League.
2015/2016 was far from Lloris’ best season at White Hart Lane, but he could still be in demand. No other club has explicitly expressed an interest, though, so there is no real rush for him to put pen to paper just yet.
