Tottenham Hotspurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino has identified Liverpool’s Adam Lallana as his main transfer target ahead of next season.
The play maker teamed up with Pochettino while both men were at the Saint Mary’s two seasons ago, but split due to movements to Liverpool and Tottenham.
Pochettino seemed impressed during his 18-month stint at Southampton and wants to bring him along to the White Hart Lane as he bids to beef up his squad ahead of next season.
Spurs are placed second this season, in a remarkable campaign which saw them almost win the top flight.
Lallana, who has been a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s side since the German took over at Anfield could depart the club if they manage to sign Bayern Munich play maker Mario Gotze.
