MARQUINHOS has put Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal on red alert after telling Paris St Germain bosses he wants to leave, according to reports.
But the Premier League clubs will face competition from Barcelona for his signature.
The 21-year-old Brazil defender is said to be furious at a lack of playing time in the French capital.
Mundo Deportivo report: “The highly-rated centre-back is hungry for action after facing limited time in Laurent Blanc’s starting XI, with David Luiz and Thiago Silva being preferred.
“It was also claimed he was angry at being benched for the French Ligue 1 winner’s Champions League quarter-final first leg clash with Man City, although he did start the second leg which City won 1-0.
“As a result he has made it clear to club chiefs that he wants to assess his future at the end of the season and could push for a move.”
A final decision on Marquinhos’ future is likely to be made when he holds talks with PSG’s board after their French Cup final clash with Marseille on May 21.
Earlier this season Marquinhos said: “My future is in Paris? At the moment, yes.
“But I can only speak of the present.”
“We’ll see how the season will finish. Afterwards, there will be a reflection.”
However, despite strong interest from big Premier League clubs, it looks likely the talented defender will opt instead for a move to Spain, having recently expressed a preference to join Barcelona.
