Chelsea and Serbia international, Nemanja Matic would reportedly sign for Manchester United if Jose Mourinho should replace Van Gaal this summer.
The 27-year-old scored Chelsea’s second in a game they lost to Sunderland by three goals to two, however, he muted his celebration after he had scored to increase their tally to 2-1 at a point in the game.
According to the Daily Mail, Matic would prefer to stay in the Premier League and is waiting to see if United open talks with his former manager Mourinho next month.
The report added that, the Blues will only be persuaded to release Matic to the Red Devils, who is a Premier League rival on a condition, and that is if they receive a sizable fee.
The Serbian has hinted he would leave the Stanford Bridge this summer. The likes of Juventus are also keen of the earning the signature of the midfielder.
