In what could make him the most expensive goalkeeper in football history, Chelsea have set a price tag of £65 million for their goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgian international has reportedly told the club’s hierarchy that he prefers to move out of the club this summer after a disappointing campaign this season.
After spending three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid, he returned to oust Petr Cech out of Jose Mourinho’s first team at Chelsea, which led to the latter’s departure to Arsenal.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Courtois is set to exit Stamford Bridge, with Real Madrid holding a firm interest in securing his signature and Chelsea have set a whooping figure of £65m on him to deter suitors.
Real however hold strong belief that they will land their man for £35m.
