Chelsea have reportedly ended their hot pursuit of England and Everton defender, John Stones.
The blues have been in race for landing the signature of the 21-year-old, however their offers were turned down by the Toffees for at least three times in a row.
Chelsea were expected to renew their interest in the center back, however, the price for the England defender is said to be between £40m and £50m and the Blues have decided to turn their attention on other defensive targets, according to The Express.
The report added that the withdrawal of Chelsea following their inability to land Stones’ signature will eventually open doors to rivals Manchester United and Manchester City.
John Stones, who has had himself in the good books of the big clubs including Barcelona as report claims, joined the Toffees from Barnsley in January 2013 for £3m.
