Manchester united players were reportedly incensed with Loius Van Gaal after the Red Devils lost 3-0 to the Tottenham Hotspures at the White Hart Lane last Sunday.
A source was quoted telling the Sun, “They blamed it all on the manager. You could hear everything. They don’t seem to have much time for him.”
The newspaper also reported that, the Dutchman, Louis Van Gaal was angry at Marcus Rashford, who was substituted in the course of the game. He was captured as saying Rashford was ‘spending too much time hunting the ball in wide areas’.
Another newspaper Times also added “United players are ‘growing increasingly frustrated’ with Van Gaal’s tendency to blame them for poor results.’
The Dutchman’s decision to play Ashley Young upfront after Marcus Rashford was redrawn instead of Anthony Martial who was also available on the bench, was heavily criticized.
Van Gaal also blamed the shocking defeat to miscommunication.
He said, “The miscommunication in our central defense turned the match, I think.
“And the second goal was also a goal in a set-play. Alderweireld scored and we knew in advance he is a dangerous header, so everything was well organised but he had a wonderful header, and within five minutes they scored the third goal and the game’s over,” he added.
