Manchester United and former Dutch manager, Louis Van Gaal says he has not regretted signing for the Red Devils since they are a bigger club than Tottenham Hotspurs.
The Red Devils were thrashed by the Lilly Whites 3-0 and are now 12 points adrift Spurs who are second on the League table.
“The challenge was bigger for me at Manchester United and shall always be bigger,” said Van Gaal, whose side are fifth.
Despite the huge defeat at the White Hart Lane, Van Gaal had this to say to Spurs “I’m sorry for Tottenham but Manchester United is a bigger club.”
He agrees the United job has come with a lot of pressure coupled with the poor perfromances by the club this season but still thinks United would and forever be bigger than the Lilly Whites.
The Dutchman turned down a reporter who asked if he had regretted signing for United.
He said, “It is a little bit pathetic you asked that,” the 64-year-old Dutchman said. “It’s easy to ask that but, ok, you enjoy yourself.”
Spurs signed Mauricio Pochettino after Louis Van Gaal signed for a three-year-contract for United in 2014.

What a pompous Pratt! It’s about winning and playing with style … Not about which is the bigger club…
He’s all about ego and nothing about reality!

He could have joined a club where he had £300m to spend on the players he wanted and ease them into his system, but he joined a club where he had to get rid of 6 players he did not want and then make a profit in the transfer window . . . Oh wait a minute . . .
They have bigger support and have been more successful but under vanGaal it all seems to sinking into mediocrity, after watching Sunday’s game it seems like there has been a waste of money on his part.
