Man United to offer Ibrahimovic monster deal

MANCHESTER UNITED are plotting a sensational swoop for Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 34-year-old will be a free agent in June after failing to agree a new deal with Paris St Germain and United bosses have made the striker one of their main summer transfer targets.

Ibrahimovic is keen to end his career in the Premier League and it is understood the Red Devils are willing to offer him a short-term deal worth £24million.

Starsport reports: “United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward hopes to tempt Ibrahimovic with two-year deal worth a staggering £250,000-a-week.

“Ibrahimovic is also a target of Arsenal and Chelsea, but United are willing to blow them out of the water and flex their financial muscle.

“The deal on offer would make Ibrahimovic one of the highest-paid stars in English football.”

There’s no doubt United desperately need some extra firepower up front and Ibrahimovic certainly has the potential to give them that, although he clearly wouldn’t be a long-term fix.

It would be fantastic to see one of the best players of his generation strutting his stuff in the Premier League – even at the age of 34.

United fans, however, may be a little wary after Radamel Falcao’s disastrous stint at Old Trafford.

The Colombian star – also on £250,000 a week – managed just four goals in 27 appearances.

United fans, is Ibrahimovic worth £250,000 a week at the age of 34?
