The man to lead Newcastle’s relegation battle

Busy period

There are plenty of opposing goalkeepers at the mercy of Newcastle United on their good days but when there are bad days for this team, you can be sure Newcastle United remain at their lowest for a while.

Having said this, Newcastle United now enter the battle to retain their standing in the English Premier League and at the 18th spot on the table their fight is more desperate than ever.

Newcastle United is not a club to be seen at the bottom end of the English Premier League table, That is of course if you are familiar with the days when Kevin Keegan and ‘The Entertainers’ were scoring left, right and centre for this North East club.

Despite the fact they are continuing to struggle over the years in the Premier League, they still possess plenty of the world’s best quality players.

For example:
Aleksandar Mitrovic is incredible for his country (Serbia) and at under 21 years of age, He will develop into a fantastic striker if he can curb his aggressive nature.

This aggressive nature is an asset against teams such as Chelsea who already have their own hot-headed striker who, also, can be lethal with his headers.

This player is Diego Costa and his ruthless competitiveness is a nightmare for defenders as he matches their intensity and sharpness.

This is similar to Aleksandar Mitrovic except Mitrovic is young and naive and often lets his anger in front of goal get the better of him which tends to result in yellow cards and the odd send-off.

For now that tally is:
Yellow Card= 3
Red Card=1

This example and analysis of Aleksandar Mitrovic is common amongst most Newcastle United forwards so it is clear that they need to utilise a player who is well known for his goal-scoring abilities and his composure.

Papiss Cisse is a tall and experienced striker who is deadly-accurate in front of goal.

His form has slumped in his later years due to injury and an influx of unnecessary striker options that have all resulted in his game time being harshly reduced.

Although this has clearly dropped his name from the memory of most EPL fans, He may be a vital option for Newcastle’s relegation battle.

It is certain that Newcastle United probably won’t use him and would rather opt to try out new striker Seydou Doumbia or another speedy forward but I’m sure the fans of this great club would love to see Papiss Cisse bring St.James Park to it’s feet once more before his inevitable sale or retirement.
