Sensation trio

The Spanish football oracle Guillem Balague has been updating the digital world on the transfer situation and status quo at Real Madrid today.

And, while there is no news on immediate potential signings, he does give a typically interesting insight into what’s happening at the club.

He talks about three players who he thinks are at the top of the wish list, going forward for Real Madrid and also has a positive update on the transfer ban. Balague told Sky:

“Real Madrid are optimistic the transfer ban will be suspended – in which case, they will try to sign David de Gea in the summer – and also Robert Lewandowski and maybe Eden Hazard,”

It’s potentially a bit of a risk to wait until the summer as they could have their ban upheld but these three are all superstars.

De Gea

Since he refocused on the job in hand at Manchester United, De Gea has been as good as ever and was one of the main reasons that United escaped from Liverpool with three points on Sunday. If Real Madrid do sign him, they won’t have to worry about front line keepers for another decade.

Robert Lewandowski

He has hit a remarkable 23 goals in 26 games for his club this season and, at 27, he is right at the top of his game.

Right now he is a better player than Karim Benzema but it’s impossible to know for sure how a player will settle in a new league. Remember Zlatan at Barca?

Eden Hazard

We believe that he is the most likely player to join Real Madrid, of the three, if the ban is suspended.

Hazard is a wonderful winger who hasn’t hit the heights this season and perhaps it’s the right time for a move. But he could be the natural successor to Cristiano Ronaldo.

Let’s see Hazard in action.
