Zero percent chance of this Chelsea star hanging around after May?

Gone

The training ground brawl that Diego Costa got involved in with Oscar at Chelsea this week seems to us the be the final nail in the coffin of The Spanish international’s Chelsea career.

He had a remarkable campaign last season, scoring 21 goals and playing a crucial part in Chelsea’s title tilt.

But, 6 in 20 this season only tells part of the story.

Costa’s muscular problems have been the subject of much discussion and he has been on the sidelines too frequently to gain the sort of momentum which made him so deadly last year.

Then there was the speculation about his part in getting Jose Mourinho sacked. Certainly some of the Chelsea faithful believed that Costa was part of the player revolt that lost Jose the dressing room and ultimately his job.

Costa was booed as the Stamford Bridge tannoy announced his name in the first game following Mourinho’s sacking and some fans vented spleen with rather crudely made made banners which, nevertheless, rammed home the point.

It seems to us that Chelsea will more than likely let him go at the end of the season.

If Costa really loved the club and got his head down, he would eventually be forgiven. But, for our money, he would happily make a swift return to Spain at the first opportunity.

Chelsea fans: any way back for Costa?
