Manchester United’s most likely major January signing

So Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has suggested that he will stay in Dortmund by saying:

“Let me say this first: I am not going to Arsenal,”

“Dortmund is my club and I am not leaving soon.”

Meanwhile, Everton are highly unlikely to let either of Romelu Lukaku or John Stones leave, let alone in mid-season.

Southampton’s excellent manager, Ronald Koeman, has stated that he would rather let Sadio Mane and Victor Wanyama rot in the stands than move in the winter window.

And, let’s face fact, the chances of Manchester United snaring Gareth Bale or Neymar in this window are zero. It’s a laughable prospect.

As for Harry Kane, Spurs simply won’t let him go, even if he wants to. Which he doesn’t. He loves Tottenham and, what’s more, they are ahead Manchester United in the league right now.

So it’s looking increasingly likely that, if Manchester United do make a major creative signing in this window, that it is going to be the wonderful Felipe Anderson.

Anderson: A special talent

Anderson: A special talent

The Lazio playmaker is lightning fast, can play anywhere behind the striker in Louis’s favoured 4-2-3-1, has great feet and scores goals. As such, he ticks virtually all the boxes for Manchester United.

He also looks gettable with Lazio deciding not to publicly dampen the flames of speculation surrounding his move to Manchester United.

We don’t think that this will be Manchester United’s only signing in the winter window – they may well go for a defender too depending on the fitness of Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo – but we are guessing that it will be United’s biggest acquisition.

Let’s see Anderson in action.
