That’s according to The Daily Mail who have amazed some readers in the latest news cycle by stating that Manchester United are ready to shatter their transfer record to bring the wizard to England:

Manchester United to bid £75million for Gareth Bale this transfer window

Zinedine Zidane has admitted Bale is unhappy over Rafa Benitez’s sacking

The suggestion is that Bale’s icon, Ryan Giggs, may be able to persuade the player of the merits of joining Manchester United in this window.

The player has reportedly expressed sincere disappointment that Rafa Benitez was sacked as manager of Real Madrid. Bale was regularly played in his preferred position in the centre during Benitez’s 7 month tenure and The Times said this week that the player is ‘considering his future

Manchester United had been expected to wait until the summer to mount another bid for a forward who has been booed by sections of the Real Madrid faithful during his time at the club.

But the report states that:

Real have received enquiries about Bale from Old Trafford in every transfer window since then, and United will try again this month despite accepting that they might have a better chance in the summer.

And what a player Bale would be for Manchester United. Perhaps more suited to the style of play in England the 26 year old has developed into and even more wonderful physical specimen in his time in Spain and has a fantastic goalscoring record of 48 goals in just over 100 games for Madrid. He’s got power, athleticism and finesse to boot.

But that still hasn’t seen him enjoy universal praise at the club as some have perhaps compared him to the once in a generation talents of Cristiano Ronaldo.

FINAL WORD: Manchester United will seriously struggle to lure the Welshman to the club in January – but there is no harm in trying.

Let’s see how in action.
