Big Move

Highly respected British media outlet, The Times, states:

Gareth Bale is considering his future at Real Madrid after the Spanish club confirmed the dismissal of Rafael Benítez, their coach, and appointed Zinédine Zidane as his replacement last night.

One of the few players at Real Madrid who did seem to really like Benitez was Bale. The Spanish manager regularly played Bale through the middle in what is clearly his favoured position.

He recently stated:

“I feel like that’s my position. In my last season at Tottenham, I played in the middle more. From then, and for Wales, I’ve been playing in the centre.

“It means I can drift into areas, find the space, and when I get the ball I can attack. It’s my best position, and when I’m fit, it’ll be a great season.”

And he is said to be highly disappointed that Rafa has been sacked just 7 months into his contract.

Manchester United have a long-held interest in the player and even outbid Real Madrid in an attempt to sign the Welshman in 2013.

We think that it’s extremely unlikely that the winger will be made available in January but it seems certain that Manchester United will make another big bid for the brilliant Bale when the summer comes around.

The 26 year old has played 107 times for Real Madrid and scored 48 goals so far in his La Liga career – great stats by most standards but they haven’t endeared Bale to every Madrid fan and the player has been sporadically booed by some fans of Los Blancos.

Let’s see some of his better moments for Madrid.

Manchester United fans: Can you envisage Bale at Old Trafford?
