Amazing options

Chelsea don’t appear to be wasting any time in the transfer market this January as they attempt to reinforce their ranks for a top four charge in the second half of the season.

One name which has been floating around in relation to Chelsea for the last few weeks is that of Alex Teixeira of Shaktar Donetsk. Various reports today suggest that this one could be in the bag before long. The London Evening Standard says of Teixeira to Chelsea:

They are already in advanced talks with Shakhtar Donestsk over a £30m January deal for attacking midfielder Alex Teixeira.

The other interesting rumour that is flying around today is one which links Chelsea with a move for the brilliant La Liga midfielder Isco.

Also reportedly being chased by Manchester City Isco isn’t getting regular game time in Spain and this window may well be the one in which he makes the move.

We still think that Real Madrid will fight to keep the player as he is only 23 and a Spanish International. But the midfielder wants more game time and the same report in the London Evening Standard says:

Chelsea are considering joining Manchester City and Juventus in the battle to sign Real Madrid midfielder Isco.

If Chelsea can sign these two they will clearly be in a far better position going into the second half of the season. These two are great young athletes who can bring dynamism and urgency to a side which can be a little pedestrian in attack and arguably hasn’t always shown the requisite desire this season.

Let’s take a look at Isco in action.

Chelsea fans: would these two be great singings or would a more conventional number nine be a priority signing for you?
