Tottenham may look to add to their front line this winter but, according to latest reports, they will have a struggle on their hands to bring in reported target Michy Batshuayi.
The Mirror quotes the coach of his club, Marseille, as saying that he won’t be going anywhere in January:
“You want to kill me! I don’t think about Michy leaving.
“If we’re going to sign anyone it will be an addition not a replacement.”
Batshuayi has continued to impresses this term with 11 goals in 19 games so far in the campaign.
Still only 22, the Belgium international who made his international debut last year and has two goals in two caps, just can’t stop scoring.
He’s got a scoring rate of about one in two already during his time at Marseille and Standard Liege before that. He looks to have the sort of power required to play in The Premier League and while Tottenham look unlikely to get there man in Jan, we think that their interest may well persist.
Let’s have a look at the young maestro in action. Tottenham fans: is a striker needed in January?
