Big Hitter

Chelsea look as if they will appoint Guus Hiddink until the end of the season at least.

And while we would never have got rid of The Special One in the first place, we think that Hiddink is an excellent choice for Chelsea. He was one of the most impressive Blues bosses of the last decade and he probably would have stayed on longer last time had he not had international commitments.

But various reports today suggest that he has ordered the top brass to make a shock signing in January, as Chelsea look to make up ground on the leading pack in the second half of the season.

The Evening Standard reports:

Chelsea will step up their attempts to sign Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy in January following Jose Mourinho’s departure.

And The Sun says:

Guus Hiddink urges Chelsea bosses to buy him an England striker like Jamie Vardy in January

Vardy has been an absolute sensation, along with his club, this season. The 28 year old has scored 15 goals in 17 games to take him and Leicester to the top of the charts.

At 28 he may feel that it’s now or never for a big move. On the flip side, he could well find himself on the bench more often than not at Chelsea, with Diego Costa surely above him in the pecking order.

And there must be a strong feeling from the star to see how the season unfurls at Leicester. Without him there is no chance of a serious title push. But if Vardy stays on song, you just never know. Especially in this incredible season.

So we think that this one is probably not going to happen. But Vardy may soon have a huge decision to make.

Let’s see him in action. Chelsea fans: would he improve the forward line?

Comment:I think Chelsea technical bench should believe in young stars and give them chance so that they can prove their talents. The older players must must become cool when the young stars given chance.
