So is it the players or the tactics that are making Manchester United so boring?
According to this report, the club obviously thinks that United’s current lack of form is down to a lack of stellar creators and finishers in the side.
And it’s a problem that they plan to sort out according to British Media Outlet The Daily Mirror.
The Mirror states that they witnessed:
a high-level source admitting: “A club like Manchester United must have a player who will be in the top 10 on the list to win the Ballon d’Or.”
The report goes on to suggest that a short list has been drawn up which includes the likes of Gareth Bale, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo.
It’s not going to be an easy task to persuade them to come but at least we know that money wouldn’t be an issue. Manchester United could afford these guys but would they want to come to Old Trafford?
We think that the most likely A-listers to arrive are Ronaldo and Bale – the former due to his Manchester United affiliations and the latter because of his nationality and love of Ryan Giggs.
If United signed Gareth Bale they would be a much better team but we still think that they would still need to add another top centre forward if they wanted to really threaten Europe’s elite once more.
