This always felt like the one that got away.
A few years ago we all expected the talented Brazilian winger Lucas Moura to sign on the dotted line for Manchester United.
In the end PSG made a last minute mega bid and Fergie refused to increase his offer.
So the pacy wide man went to Paris and has done really well there.
He has scored 17 goals in 128 appearances for the club and provided numerous assists for the likes of Zlatan and Cavani.
But reports today suggest that the 23 year old could be back on the radar at Old Trafford. We are surprised that Manchester United didn’t try to get him as part of the deal which took Angel di Maria to PsG.
Anyway French media outlet L’equipe (via Daily Star) reckons that a deal could be back on.
We believe that Moura, who has played 33 times for Brazil since his debut in 2011 is precisely the sort of player that this Manchester United team needs.
He’s something of an old-fashioned wide man in that he loves to get his boots white and get to the byline. While he can cut in and hit shots too, he offers great crossing ability and is direct and speedy. He would surely help Manchester United to penetrate the opposition back line more frequently and quickly.
Let’s take a look at him in action.
Manchester United fans: a decent solution?
