This is a rumour which has persisted for some time and refuses to die down in the British media.
The Daily Mail writes today:
Paris Saint-Germain join Real Madrid in £80m fight to sign Chelsea star Eden Hazard
Although Hazard has made no secret of his admiration for Real Madrid, the team he supported as a boy, the French club are one for the emerging forces in European football.
The speculation has been fuelled by the fact that Hazard has been benched in recent games due to the terrible results that his team has been getting.
The big questions here are:
Is he good enough for Real Madrid?
He isn’t as good as Ronaldo in terms of goal output but Real Madrid will struggle to find anyone to replace the Portuguese freak of nature.
But Hazard is a player from the very top drawer. He can leave a man for dead with his pace and ball control and he can score goals (19 last season) as well as offering a superb final ball.
Can Real Madrid get him?
Increasingly we feel that they can. Hazard has, until now, been happy at Stamford Bridge, but the current uncertainty hasn’t helped and he seems to have been blamed, to some degree, for the performances.
Final Verdict
Hazard may stay for one more year but we can definitely see him moving to PSG or Real Madrid at some stage of his career.
Let’s see the brilliant Belgian in action.
