We have to say to start with that, despite constant speculation to the contrary, we don’t believe that Real Madrid would give up a home grown player of the quality of Isco without a serious fight.
Yet speculation persists that the player is looking to move away from the club for regular first team football and that Real Madrid may eventually sanction the move.
The Daily Star reckons that:
ISCO has requested a move away from the Spanish giants, leaving Premier League clubs keeping a close eye on the 23-year-old.
It is believed Rafa Benitez would be looking for at hefty £35m for Isco.
If Arsenal were to sign the 23-year-old, Arsene Wenger would have serious options going forward with Isco slotting in alongside Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
Wenger would face stiff competition from Chelsea and Liverpool though, who are also keen on securing the services of the Spaniard.
While Arsenal have so much attacking talent already they would surely always be interested in player of this quality.
But the need for a driving force from midfield may be greater at Chelsea who could certainly use the pace and direct dribbling ability of the wonderful Spaniard.
Isco has played 11 times for Spain, since his first cap in 2013 and scored one goal.
He has also had a decent amount of game time at Real Madrid with 118 appearances and over the last three years and 17 goals to show for his efforts.
And while he is now getting regular game time he is still not a first choice player. At 23 he may feel that he’s good enough to be starting every week and, like Angel di Maria and Alvaro Morata before him, Real Madrid may find it hard to hold on to Isco.
Real’s loss would certainly be Arsenal or Chelsea’s gain because this guy would have no problems in The Premier League.
Let’s see him in action.
Chelsea and Arsenal fans: do you need him?
