Louis van Gaal has confirmed good news on the injury front ahead of the crucial game against CSKA in Moscow on Wednesday night.
Speaking to Manchester United’s in house TV channel MUTV before his weekly news conference, he confirmed that there were no new injuries suffered by the squad at Everton last weekend.
“It’s the same amount of injuries so Luke Shaw, Paddy McNair and Ashley Young are not going with us,”
Manchester United have won one and lost one of their opening two games in the group so three points is a priority if they want to stay in control of this surprisingly tough group.
Having beaten Wolfsburg in their last European outing Manchester United will want to capitalise with another good performance and, whisper it quietly, but they do seem to be on the right track.
We would very much like to see a return to action for Memphis after he was benched at the weekend.
He has so far reserved his best performances for Europe in his fledgling Manchester United career and his energy and pace could be the perfect weapon on the counter attack in a tough away trip to Moscow.
With him on one flank and Martial on the other Manchester United could really click up top on Wednesday.
Wayne Rooney will also look to build on his return to goalscoring form and improved sharpness against Everton at the weekend.
