The Machiavellian One

It hasn’t been an easy period for Jose Mourinho.

In fact, the man himself has recently said that:

“I define it as the worst period of my career, with the worst results in my career,”

With the Eva Carneiro incident proving highly regrettable for the Jose Mourinho PR machine and results on the field possibly even being affected by this, you wonder whether the improbable might happen and Jose is asked to leave the club.

He is arguably the best coach in the world and results will surely dictate to his fate more than any other factor.

But The Daily Mail picks up on a story that the Chelsea squad is perhaps starting to lose faith with their manager after a spate of early season problems. They say:

Chelsea stars ‘using derogatory nickname’ to refer to Jose Mourinho as Blues boss struggles to keep control of dressing room

They don’t elaborate on the actual term used to describe a manager who has always divided opinion.

But the next few weeks will surely be crucial for one of the most decorated managers that the game has ever seen.

And with this fixture list looking quite tricky, it’s anyone’s guess whether Chelsea will be closer to the top of the pile come the end of the month.
