4-2-3-1: Chelsea’s Best XI and formation with transfer activity now confirmed?

It’s all over for another few months. And, unlike many a previous window, this one was marked by its lack of last minute mega deals.

Chelsea did of course complete a deadline day move for Papy Djilobodji but we can’t see him getting into the first team straight away.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s other deadline day signing, Michael Hector, has immediately gone back on loan to his club Reading.

And the unlikely dream move for Paul Pogba never materialised.

So Chelsea’s main improvements came at left back and on the right wing with the additions of Baba Rahman and Pedro.

It’s arguable whether Baba will go straight into the first team – Chelsea have been excellent at the back over the last few years.

But Branislav Ivanovic looks as if he may not quite have the legs to get up and down Chelsea’s right flank any more so we are going to pop Cesar Azpilicueta in his rightful place on the right and Baba on the left, with Ivanovic in the centre.

As for Pedro, he will demand starts and has begun his Chelsea career well, despite the patchy overall form of the team.

We think that Pedro should go right, Willian left and give Hazard a chance to shine through the middle – he may just cause absolute havoc if the winger comes inside as his career evolves, like Ronaldo and Messi before him.

So here is our strongest Chelsea side for the season.

Comment: The starting eleven team selection is perfect, even though there is no bench. I suggest Ivanovic should rest on the bench for Cahil againt Everton. Well done Mourinho but dont loan Kennedy out… Everyone knows you dont believe in youngster shall grow.
