It’s going to be a crazy ten days for Manchester United.
Because while they have done some great business this summer there remains a feeling that another forward of some description is required to really push Manchester United into the realm of serious title challengers this season.
Especially when you look at Manchester City and Chelsea, who have signed the likes of Sterling, Otamendi and Pedro, Manchester United will surely look to do more business if possible.
So here are the players that you can expect to see linked to Manchester United next week:
Antoine Griezmann
If United want him they know that they can trigger his release clause. But it stands at 80m Euros.
Likelihood – 4/10
Gareth Bale
Booed by his fans again this week. But Real Madrid surely don’t have enough time to replace him do they? Perhaps the signing of Marco Reus could change things.
2/10
Nicolas Gaitan
Does this guy actually exist?
3/10
Harry Kane
With Tottenham unlikely to sell and the kid not on great form, it seems unlikely to happen this summer.
2/10
Sadio Mane
We have always been big fans of this lad and, while Southampton will bend Manchester United over a barrel and spank them red raw on the fee, it is probably the most likely deal for United in this window.
7/10
Zlatan
Stranger things have happened.
6/10
Aymeric Laporte
Louis seems happy enough with Smalling and Blind at the heart of his defence right now. So perhaps the most likely course of action would be to buy a youngster. They don’t come much better than this guy.
5/10
Cristiano Ronaldo
Expect some nonsense on this one
0/10
Neymar
Do me a favour
0/10
Karim Benzema
Not happening
1/10
Marco Reus
What is not to like about this lad?
2/10
The Real Outsiders
There are always one or two really crazy new rumours in the last week. We wonder whether this time around the names of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Alexis Sanchez will be mentioned? Either could both do a superb job on the wing for United.

Manchester United only needs a striker and a central defender who can partner with blind when smalling injured, I think John stones can fit the position the Nicolas Gaitan who has pace, speed, dribble and fire range could fit into boots of the departed winger Angel Di Maria, no problem at all with the midfielders, and if not, then Wayne Rooney must play behind Javier Hernandez before utd can bounce back with the goal scoring, the 4-2-3-1 is ok but 4-3-3 formation may be better with likes of Nicolas Gaitan, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata, as for Chelsea “hijackers” woe unto them, it is my fervent prayer that Roman Abramovic show him the exit if he failed to defend the trophy
