Manchester United fans will want to see one or two more signings in this window that can make an immediate difference to the team.
It’s at right wing were many to most Manchester United fans feel that the team needs strengthening. Now, with Pedro off the radar, United will look for alternatives in the remaining days of the window.
One name that has been thrown up in the latest news cycle surely wouldn’t have an impact straight away and is more accustomed to playing on the left at this early stage of his career.
Nevertheless, he is seen as a highly promising young talent and is said to be generating interest from two of Europe’s top clubs.
Norwegian media outlet VG says (Via BBC):
Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund both want 17-year-old winger Rafik Zekhnini, who impressed for Norwegian side Odd in the Europa League against Dortmund. (VG – in Norwegian)
The 17 year old has only played 4 times in the senior side for his club, Odd, but has drawn praise and hit the back of the net twice.
And signing him doesn’t seem as if it would be too much of a problem considering how enamoured he appears to be by the club. He is quoted saying in The Metro:
‘I don’t know where I will be in five years’ time,’.
‘I will give my best every day. Manchester United is the biggest dream’.
He won’t be an immediate solution for Manchester United but it’s good to see that Louis is reportedly looking at a long term plan for success as well as just his tenure at the club.
Let’s see the lad in action.
