Everton

Yes Please Roberto: Everton linked with powerful 34 cap International

Zapata: Quality addition

A bit spesh

Everton aren’t alone in hoping that they don’t lose any key players before the window shuts. Even Manchester Untied are biting their fingers nails to the quick in apprehension of an improved bid for their cat-like keeper David de Gea.

And Everton’s big problem is of course John Stones.

He’s a good lad and probably won’t agitate for a move.

But he must be tempted by the prospect of Chelsea and immediate Champions League football.

This one could still go either way but reports today suggest that Everton have a contingency plan should they lose the brilliant 21 year old this summer.

The Daily Mail writes:

Everton will target AC Milan’s Cristian Zapata if Chelsea sign £30m John Stones

Zapata: Quality addition

Zapata: Quality addition

Zapata has had a solid and varied top level career.

He played for just a year at senior level for Deportivo Cali in Colombia before moving to Europe.

He had a great 6 year spell in Serie A at Udinese, then had a year at Villareal before returning to Italy.

There he played 55 times for AC Milan last season.

Zapata has also played 34 times for Colombia and went to The World Cup in Brazil 2014.

He’s powerful and good in the air so we think that he would find it pretty easy to adjust to life in The Premier League.

Let’s see the lad in action.

Everton fans: should you try to sign this lad regardless of what happens with John Stones?
