Lots of activity

It was always going to be a matter of when not if Tottenham made further inroads into the summer transfer market after shedding so many players in the close season.

And they may even have a new face on the books for the weekend visit of Stoke as Sky Sports reports today:

Reports in France are claiming Tottenham have agreed a £10m plus add-ons for Lyon striker Clinton N’Jie.

Spurs are refusing to deny this story.

The 21 year old forward has been banging in the goals despite his tender age.

He has scored 8 goals in 43 games over the space of three seasons at Lyon and mainly as a substitute.

But he is already trusted more at international level with Cameroon where he has a remarkable 6 goals in 11 games for his country since he made his debut last year.

And Tottenham may not be finished there, with Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor potentially leaving the club this summer.

The same source reckons that Spurs’ move for Njie will not end their interest in a more well known striker in these parts.

Meanwhile, we understand the north London club still retain an interest in West Brom striker Saido Berahino.

The names on the list suggest that Tottenham are looking to add raw pace to their attack this summer – a move that we wholeheartedly endorse.

But Berahino is more than just a speed demon. He has surprised us with his superb finishing ability over the last couple of seasons and he very much looks ready to make the step up if Tottenham do follow through on their interest.

Let’s see Njie in action. Tottenham fans: do these potential additions boil your potatoes?
