The Sixth Summer Signing? Manchester United have agreed deal with 34 cap international according to reports

Really?

This one is a real head scratcher.

It could well be utter nonsense of course, but many media outlets are going with the story that Manchester United are seriously attempting to make Lucas Biglia their 6th summer signing.

Really?

British media outlet, The Independent, is among many on the island to pass on the news from France that terms have been agreed between Manchester United and the player.

Manchester United ‘agree four year deal with Lucas Biglia’

French new(sic) outlet Le10 Sport.com suggest that an agreement with Lazio is all that remains and that the 29 year old Argetina international could well be joining Argentina compatriots Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero at Old Trafford shortly.

The 29 year old has 34 caps for Argentina and has become central to their engine room of late.

He was a late bloomer but is now a highly trusted member of the South American national side.

He’s also been an excellent anchor man for Lazio.

But with Manchester United’s midfield now containing three top anchor men – Basti, Schneiderlin and Carrick – this deal makes little to no sense.

Unless Louis van Gaal plans to play him at centre back then Manchester United should surely be focusing now on adding pace to their creative areas.

Biglia to United? Do me a favour

Biglia to United? Do me a favour

They could do a lot worse than to take Brazilian Felipe Anderson from Lazio instead of his ageing midfield pal.

But PACE should be the most important factor in Manchester United’s remaining transfer business and that’s certainly not the first quality that you would ascribe to Biglia.

Let’s see the lad in a action.

Manchester United fans: is there any point at all in signing this guy?

If it could well be utter nonsense why are you reporting it? It’s nothing original anyway, you are just reporting what other papers report. So really you are doubly lazy and doubly rubbish. You can’t find anything original so you report something that probably isn’t true, by your own admission, from another publication. Pathetic! Do you actually get paid for this?
