Brazilian star wants to be an ‘important player’ for Manchester United

Pereira: Ready for first team action

Class

Manchester United has a history of giving youth a chance.

But that doesn’t mean it’s easy to get a game in the first team at Old Trafford.

Any youngster aspiring to that level needs to have an abundance of talent and Andreas Pereira may well be in that category.

He played really well against San Jose Earthquakes and spoke afterwards about his delight at scoring his first senior goal for the club.

“I was very happy to score against San Jose Earthquakes. It was a very special moment for me.

“It was almost like a relief that I had finally scored my first goal. Hopefully there can be many more. It was even more special for me because I never score with my head!

There has been speculation about a loan move to Lille but perhaps this kid has the chance to play some serious minutes in the first team at Manchester United this season.

He certainly seems intent on staying to fight for his place.

“I just want to keep doing well and I hope to impress the manager more and more. I want to get more games and be an important player for United.

Pereira is a rare talent who has great feet and loves to run at defenders.

Andreas-Pereira

He may end up saving Manchester United millions and filling the creative vacuum that Louis van Gaal feels still exists in the squad.

At just 19 years of age he still has a long way to go but we are tipping this kid for big things at Manchester United.

Let’s see some of his best moments.

I prefer Pereira to stay and fight for playing minutes at man utd rather than being loaned out. He is a world class winger!
