Manchester United have made a massive new bid for World Cup Winner as deal looks back on says Spanish media report

Ramos: Simply Not Worth The Money

On

News coming out of Spain suggests that Manchester United have made an improved bid of 60m Euros for the Spain icon Sergio Ramos and that a deal could now go ahead, which will allow David de Gea to finally go the other way.

It’s been something of a stand off between Manchester United and a Real Madrid club who are used to getting things their own way. But, while they will be delighted to seal a deal for De Gea, they seem less happy about letting Ramos go.

Respected news media outlet El Pais reckons:

This weekend United made a new offer for Ramos. The figure is around 60 million euros. If Madrid accepts, Manchester accede to negotiate for De Gea

And The Metro reports:

Ramos has played an amazing 128 times for Spain in a career which has seen the 29 yea old win the lot – he’s won The World Cup, 2 European Championships, The Champions League and countless domestic trophies in Spain.

While this seemed for a long time like a simple ploy to earn a better contract at Real Madrid, the move looks ever more likely as Ramos genuinely seem sot want out of the Spanish giant for a new challenge.

With Manchester United already signing Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin this summer Manchester United could start next season with an altogether stronger looking spine.

Ramos has played 445 times for Real Madrid and scored 55 goals in a glittering career at the club which has spanned a decade since he moved from Sevilla as a teenager.

Let’s see the lad in action.
