Great Player

We like the sound of this one. While there has been intense speculation about Sergio Ramos joining Manchester United this summer, we think that the signing of Nicolas Otamendi would be more straight forward and a better investment.

And The Sun states that Otamendi will attempt to force the club to sell him to Manchester United this summer.

NICOLAS OTAMENDI is set to go on strike at Valencia in a bid to force through a mega-bucks move to Manchester United.

The Spaniards have slapped a £37million price tag on the Argentina defender, who fears he may be priced out of a dream move to the Red Devils.

At 27 Otamendi is a couple of years younger than Ramos.

So Manchester United could reasonably expect to get 5 good years out of him. And he has really blossomed as a player over the last year in particular.

Otamendi has become a regular in the Argentina national side and now has 25 caps to his name.

He also has a storming season at Valencia and was one of the most eye catching player in La Liga with 6 goals in 38 appearances form central defence – a goal return that most midfielders would be happy with.

Manchester United look as if they will attempt to sign a rock for the defence and a striker before the window closes.

And with the other defensive options dwindling it looks ever more likely that Manchester United will start next season with either Ramos or Otamendi in the back line.

With all the complication surrounding a move for the Spaniard, Otamendi is surely now the favourite to join Manchester United.
