Real Madrid seem to be keeping their cards close to their chest with regards summer transfer activity.
A lot of the business that they do will be dictated to by departures. The future of Sergio Ramos is still up in the air – although we still think that he will ultimately sign a new contract. Casillas looks set for a departure. And there is also a lot of uncertainty surrounding Asier Illaramendi.
The 25 year old is an excellent midfielder but just hasn’t been able to make a regular mark on the first team, with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos ahead of him in the pecking order.
The Daily Mail reports that, if he does leave the club this summer, Real Madrid are lining up a tasty replacement.

At 23 this lad has been drawing admiring glances for a few years. He’s a big, powerful player who loves to get stuck into the tackle. But he’s rare in that he marries that physical presence with wonderful elegance. He is a great passer of the ball and plays the game with the nonchalance of a player who almost finds football too easy.
We think that it won’t be long before he is gracing big games in The Champions League and Real Madrid could certainly do a lot worse than to bring him to the club this summer.
