It seems that most of the big boys are keen on the services of Arda Turan. And with the player keen to leave Atletico this summer, there is a strong sense that he will be plying his trade at another club come August.
ITV.com reckon that Chelsea could be leading the way with the headline:
Turan willing to leave Atletico Madrid with Chelsea ready to make move for winger
There is some confusion as to exactly who is in for him but the player himself, while remaining somewhat vague, has narrowed it down to a degree by saying:
Turan tweeted: “The transfer rumours are not entirely correct.
“My agent is currently in touch with three or four clubs.
We have a strong feeling that Chelsea would be interested in a player of this calibre. Lest we forget, Turan was tormentor-in-chief when Chelsea went out of The Champions League to Atletico the season before last.
He’s a neat and tidy player who rarely cedes possession but also loves to run at the heart of defences with the ball and commit defenders.
He regularly plays on the right wing but tends to float around the pitch to great effect and, at 28, he’s in his absolute prime. Whoever gets this lad could be making a huge step forward and Chelsea appear to be one of his serious suitors. And he’s the sort of player that Jose likes – physically strong with intelligent reading of the game, a calm head and huge amounts of natural ability.
We should get a much better idea of what’s happening with this one in the next few days. Let’s take a look at him in action.
