45 international caps at 23: Great news as Chelsea reportedly want adaptable forward to continue at the club

Enigma

Chelsea have a big squad of top quality and, to bring in more players, they probably need to shed others.

There has been a lot of speculation about the future their young star Oscar. He exploded onto the scene at Chelsea after signing for the club in 2012.

But many believe that he hasn’t quite kicked on to become the world star that we all thought he would.

Perhaps he’s just more of an understated talent than a player like Eden Hazard, whose ability in the final third is there for all to see.

But the fact that Oscar has 45 caps for Brazil at the age of 23 speaks volumes. He’s a player from the top drawer who still has so much more to give.

So it’s great to hear reports that, despite interest in the player, Chelsea fully intend to hold on to him for now. The Sun reports:

OSCAR will not be leaving Chelsea for Juventus this summer — according to adviser Kia Joorabchian.

Of course there is no room for passengers at Chelsea and Oscar needs to continue to put top performances in every week in order to keep his place in the side. If he continues to underperform he may well be used in another one of Jose’s mega sales which can generate the revenue required to bring in another A-lister.

But, with his youthful age in mind, we think that he will be at Chelsea for some time yet.

Chelsea fans: Is Oscar still a nailed on first teamer or is it time to start looking at alternatives?

Oscar is still a first team player and he still very young with a lot to offer in the near future. any offer to buy him off should be woefully rejected without second thought

selling Oscar will practically end up like De Bryne’s transfer to Wolfsburg…… Chelsea being too a robust club dats y dey will opt for Pogba rather than Oscar
