We all know that there is a huge jump between getting hyped as a youngster and making the grade in the first eleven of a big team.
But when Robin van Persie says this about a player then you feel that he must have a chance, if not for greatness, then at least for a solid career at club and international level.
“I thought earlier in pre-season that he has something special.
“Over the years I’ve seen so many young players and I can honestly say that of all the young players I’ve seen he is right up there in the top one or two.”
Having trained with the lad at close quarters RvP should have a good incling of the qualities of the lad.
And we are huge admirers too. If Januzaj had genuine pace then he would be a world-beater. He is no slouch of course, but he doesn’t have the jet-heels of a player like Eden Hazard.
The Liverpool Echo reckons that Everton still have him on the radar:
Everton monitor loan target Adnan Januzaj
What he does have is even better ball control than his fellow countryman. This guy is a genuine entertainer but also a genuine threat to the opposition. We still believe that he will make the grade at Manchester United and there is no way that they will let him go permanently. He’s not even 21 until next February so this lad has time on his side.
And where better to get game time than at Everton. He could have a Deulofeu style impact on the side and we know that Roberto Martinez would give him one directive only – run at the opposition defence and cause havoc!
We think that with Manchester United likely to add several more stellar names to their team this summer that a loan deal for Adnan could be mutually beneficial. He would certainly learn a thing or two from the Everton boss.
Let’s have look at him in action – and it’s always a pleasure to do so with this kid. Everton fans: a good deal or would you rather sign players permanently?
