Deal Time

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has a huge summer on his hands. Not only is he charged with bringing some stellar names into the club, so that Manchester United can once again challenge on all fronts, but he also has to get rid of a lot of dead wood as it were.

The futures of players like Chicharito and Robin van Persie need to be sorted out. And, surely, it must be time for Nani to move on.

Those who agree will be pleased to hear that the player is expected in Turkey on Friday to complete a deal with Fenerbahce, according to reports.

The Daily Mail says:

Manchester United winger Nani to arrive in Turkey to seal £7m move to Fenerbahce

Nani is expected to arrive in Turkey on Friday to complete his move

Nani moved to Manchester United in 2007. After an exciting start to his career at Old Trafford he failed to show the sort of consistency that made fellow countryman Cristiano Ronaldo a household name around the world.

At 28 he’s has been on the periphery of the Manchester United squad for a few years before a loan spell to Sporting Lisbon last season. There he did fairly well, scoring 7 in 27 league games for his old club.

This has generated interest from Turkey where he is expected to move as early as this weekend.

Manchester United fans: would you have liked to see Nani at the club for one more season or is this the right move?
