Young Maestro

We have become accustomed, over the years, to seeing Manchester United succumb to Real Madrid when the Spanish giants set their sights on a top player at Old Trafford.

But, until Angel di Maria arrived last season, there had been precious little talent coming in the opposite direction.

If Manchester United have struggled to buy A-listers from Madrid they may have better luck with their younger stars.

And latest reports suggest that Manchester United sent scouts to Spain last week to monitor a brilliant youngster in the Madrid ranks. The Express reports:

MANCHESTER UNITED, City and Aston Villa reportedly sen (sic) scouts to Spain last week to assess a teenage wonderkid in Real Madrid’s academy.

The Premier League trio were in Elche to watch 15-year-old Moha Mohamed Aiman Moukhliss, according to Spanish news outlet AS.

He is said to have starred at the Nike Cup, a top tournament for young players, and scored a goal in the 2-1 win over Barca in the semis before appearing in the final win over Sevilla.

Considering that he is reported to be one of the best youngsters at Madrid it’s hard to see them letting Manchester United anywhere near the lad.

But what is irrefutable is that Manchester United have never replaced Paul Scholes adequately and it must be a long-term priority to bring a genuine top class player to the attacking midfield. This lad isn’t ready for that job yet but he looks like one for the future.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Manchester United fans: any chance of snaring him?
