With so little transfer investment during his tenure at Tottenham so far it’s difficult to know exactly which way the Spurs boss is leaning in term of signings this summer.
But we do feel that, after a year of prudence, he may well open the cheque book and spend large amounts this summer. Now that Mauricio Pochettino has properly assessed his squad, it’s time to make some improvements.
To that end The Times reports that Tottenham are serious in their interest for French midfielder Adrien Rabiot:
Tottenham Hotspur have expressed further interest in signing Adrien Rabiot, who has played in midfield for France at all youth levels but has asked to leave Paris Saint-Germain.
Rabiot had a brief spell at Manchester City before his move to PSG. While he’s seen decent game time at the French club – he played 28 times and scored three goals last season – he clearly feels that it’s not enough at this stage of his career and he’s been linked with a move for some time.
The 6ft 2in anchor man is a lovely player to watch. He’s got great feet for a man of his size and covers the ground well. And although his instinct is more as a defensive midfielder he also pops up with important goals. While he may not be the star man at Tottenham next season he does look like a worthy addition.
Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Tottenham fans: a decent potential signing?
