Arsenal: World star wants move – What is Arsene waiting for? Broadsheet Report

Get him in

Sometimes we think that Arsene Wenger would think twice about signing Lionel Messi.

The purchase of Alexis Sanchez last summer, for big money when others weren’t sure, has vindicated his transfer policy to a degree.

But the perfect signings this summer would surely be Morgan Schneiderlin and Petr Cech – and Wenger could miss out on both because of an arguable lack of decisiveness in the market.

Call it loyalty or short sightedness – Wenger seems to stick with his goalkeepers in the hope that they will come good. Indeed, Szczesny had one excellent season two years ago. But one good season out of 5 isn’t good enough – too many mistakes are made and titles lost in the meantime.

The same thing will probably happen with David Ospina who is decent but not a match winner.

Petr Cech, meanwhile, most definitely is. And he seems to be gagging for a move across London.

The Telegraph reports:

Chelsea goalkeeper admits to the added complications for him and his family should he move outside of the capital

“Next week we will have a meeting with Chelsea when the situation is clearer and all the cards are on the table. If I move, it brings difficulties. I must change everything, looking for housing, a school for children and so on.”

Cech? Mate?

Cech? Mate?

We are happy for Arsene Wenger to manage the team. But we just wish he would go away for the summer months and hand soccersweep the keys to the kitty to make the decisive – and obvious – moves in the transfer market.

Arsenal fans: Is the signing of Cech a no-brainer?
