Manchester United identify the signing to replace a legend – and it’s his dream club – report

Dream Club

We like to think that there is some substance to this one.

Manchester United look increasingly likely to lose their brilliant and super cool keeper David de Gea to Real Madrid this summer and some believe that they have a ready made replacement in Victor Valdes.

Valdez is a good keeper but, with Anders Lindegaard also the subject of transfer speculation, Manchester United will probably need to add a keeper to the squad anyway.

We think that there are two gettable keepers who would be good enough to replace De Gea – Hugo Lloris and Asmir Begovic.

We strongly believe that Manchester United would be fine with either but Lloris seems like the ‘Hollywood’ signing of the two, with his spectacular style, and latest reports suggest that United have made him their top target for between the sticks.

The Manchester Evening news reports:

Tottenham’s French goalkeeper is emerging as a favourite to pull on David De Gea’s gloves if the Spaniard goes, as expected, to Real Madrid.

The 28-year-old has previously said that the Reds are his dream club, that Eric Cantona was his favourite player as a youngster and that admiration was transferred to his hero worship of United keeper legend Peter Schmeichel.

Llorris might provide a few heart stopping moments

Llorris might provide a few heart stopping moments

Lloris has been excellent since joining The Premier League. There have been a few hairy moments, which reminded us of ex-Manchester United keeper Fabien Barthez. But he looks a lot more convincing than his fellow countryman and we have little doubt that he would be an excellent long-term signing.

Manchester United fans: with De Gea surely off, would LLoris be the perfect replacement?

    Rather have Cech.

Either one would be good but Cech’s experience and character make him a better potential signing.
