Danny Ings has come from nowhere to become the name on many a top club’s collective lips over the last year. His form in a struggling Burnley side – where he hit 11 goals in 37 for the relegated The Clarets last season – has spoken of a player who can make things happen as well as finish. The Independent reports:
Tottenham Hotspur want Danny Ings to sign for them next month, with the Burnley striker a free agent from Monday.
At 22, he will become a free agent on Monday and that’s when the real scramble will begin.
The player has stated before that he wants to go to a club where he will be playing most weeks. With Harry Kane the nailed on number 9 and Christian Eriksen performing so well in the hole, it’s not immediately apparent where Tottenham would play the lad.
But he is an intelligent and adaptable player who could easily do a job in a wide role. Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has also sporadically used two strikers for Tottenham and he may be inclined to revert to this system again if it means signing and accommodating Ings.
FINAL WORD: With Tottenham desperately in need of quality reinforcements up top, Ings looks to us like the perfect addition. At 22 he still has much room for improvement but could have a similar effect at Tottenham as the much loved Irishman Robbie Keane.
Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Tottenham fans: is this the sort of forward that you need?

It would be best to get Charlie Austin who is miles better.
