Manchester United have a huge budget to spend on players this summer. But, with so many areas needing improvement, even they might struggle to find the cash for a top striker.
They need to sign a right back, central midfielder, right winger and possibly a centre back as a matter of priority. If they buy four top players for these positions the kitty will look pretty ravaged. So the idea of bolstering up top, with another A-list signing, may seem fanciful.
It’s true that RvP and Falcao are on the wane and probably need to be replaced. But Wayne Rooney deserves and expects to be the first choice number 9 next season in a 4-3-3 formation. So even if Manchester United did sign another striker then he may not get a game.
We think that the solution lies within. Get rid of Falcao and RvP and bring Chicharito back to the club permanently. His loan spell at Real Madrid has come to an end and the Spanish club doesn’t look likely to take up a permanent option on him.
With 7 goals in 23 games for Real Madrid he’s done himself proud as usual. He doesn’t have the all round game to be number one at either of these clubs but he could continue to be a superb squad member for Manchester United and a back up player that you would have no qualms about picking, even for a massive game.
In many ways, he’s the perfect substitute. He may of course want to play every week at the age of 26. But if he can accept the role of a squad member who is going to still get 35-40 appearances in a successful squad, then perhaps Louis might take another look at him this summer. He’s got the mobility and speed that Falcao and RvP lack and is a work horse who knows where the net is.
With 97 club goals in his career, LvG could use Chicharito as back up to Rooney. He could then concentrate on strengthening other areas of the squad and buy his stellar striker at the end of next season. This way, James Wilson could also get the chance to develop in a Manchester United shirt.
Hernandez was shipped out almost as soon as LvG came through the door at Manchester United. But he may just turn out to be a great solution for the club next season.
Let’s see Chicharito doing the business for Real Madrid. Manchester United fans: worth keeping?

Angelo and chi cha should be given a chance to prove themselves rather than spending another lousy and unnecessary pounds in bringing a striker .lvg should make use of his players
