Now this one could be very interesting for Tottenham. Admittedly Barcelona forward Pedro has been one for he rumours mills’ favourite guests over the last few years, without a move coming to fruition.
But this time a deal could be on as The Telegraph reports that Barcelona are preparing to sell the lad this summer.
Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez is being offered to Premier League clubs for just £7m (9.8m euros).
Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have all been alerted to the possibility of landing Pedro for a cut price fee this summer.
Any Barcelona reject is worth a gander. But Pedro can count himself particularly unlucky that he’s not a regular in the side, having performed so well for the club and having such good stats.
He’s played 50 times for Spain and scored 16 goals. And he’s been a consistent squad member for Barcelona, and an important part of their success, with an impressive 98 goals in 358 appearances for the club, mainly as a wide man.
We think that at a reported fee of around 9.8m Euros this would represent an absolute bargain for Tottenham who still lack a little finesse in the wide areas. While Pedro may not have the pace to be an out and put winger in the classic Premier League sense, he’s adaptable and could play in several positions. He rarely gives the ball away, has great composure and creaiticty and works hard for the team.
Tottenham should deifitnely snap him up if they get the chance because, at just 27, he could offer years of service.
Let’s see him in action. Tottenham fans: keen?
