It is being reported this weekend that Manchester United will take promising youngster away with them on their preseason tour to America.
According to The Daily Mail Sam Grimshaw, who has been on trial from non-league Glossop North End, is going to travel with the the main squad when Manchester United embark on their money spinning tour this summer, which includes matches against Barcelona and Paris St.Germain.
Sam Grimshaw, a 21-year-old left back or left winger, will link up with the Barclays Premier League side as they cross the Atlantic in the July for a tour that includes games against Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Louis van Gaal is not alien to the bold or maverick decision and this one appears to be a reward for the successful trial that the lad has had in his time at Manchester United.
With no international tournaments to deal with this summer, Manchester United should have something close to a full complement of players available for the trip which makes it an even more impressive achievement for the 21 year old.
With Memphis Depay preferring the left-wing role, and Ashley Young on fire, he will have a gargantuan task breaking in to the first team. But he will at least get the chance to impress while in The States.
