With obvious changes afoot in the attacking department for Tottenham this summer the latest name to touch the tongues of the rumour mills is that of Claudio Beauvue.
The 27 year old Guincamp striker, who has two caps for Guadeloupe, is reportedly interesting Tottenham and Hull. but the latter’s ability to snare him will surely be dictated to by whether they stay in The Premier League this season. It’s safe to say that if Tottenham want him, they will get their man. The Daily Mail reports:
Guingamp President Bertrand Desplat confirmed that Hull and Tottenham had enquired while Beauvue, who is strong, quick and good in the air, said: ‘The deal I had with the club president was that I would leave in the event of a beautiful season.
‘The season has been very beautiful.’
The 27 year old has always scored goals but has exploded into life this season, playing further put he park or his team, with 25 goals in 49 games for Guincamp, making him one of the top scorers in the French League.
With Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado well off the pace this season you have to imagine that it will be their last at the club – if Tottenham can find suitors.
And with Harry Kane the nailed on choice up top for Spurs next season Beauvue seems like the right sort of profile of player to bring into he club. He won’t expect a start every week but may surprise a few with his movement and eye for goal.
Let’s take a look at the lad in a action. Tottenham fans: good enough?
